Jonathan Wayshak

This sketch was crated by Jonathan Wayshak using pencils and pastels as concept art for the new Batman Vs Superman movie due for release in the fall of 2015. What i like about this piece is that it gives to you what his interpretation of what he expects the movie to be. I also like how the sketch is dark themed also that it has that gothic feel to it, from the gothic feel it shows to me that two super heros that are idolised can also have their darker side revealed,  from this image you can see that batman has defeated superman but in the process you can see that there was a lot of damage caused. batman is also injured from the battle as its shown in the wings of batman's suit. the way its sketched

Banksy - Fallen angel

This is a graffiti piece made by the famous graffiti artist Banksy, the piece is of an angel that is sitting on the ground with a cigarette in one hand and a bottle of alcohol by his feet. It is a stencil like piece that looks like it has been designed with the space in mind. Within the piece there is a oblivious drug reference with the cigarettes and the alcohol.  By using a fallen angel it suggests to the viewer the downfall of something wonderful, be it a person, society, or civilization as we know it, because an fallen angel is an angel who's ignored God and has chose to follow the devil.  This means that the angel has fallen from grace.  Most of Banksy's work is about or related to social issues so this fits in with the angel theme because it shows that even the best people sometimes fall from grace. This piece was controversial to religious people because it shows a hopeless angel sitting on the ground smoking a cigarette and holding a bottle of alcohol. Many people see this as an anti-religious statement, also because of the use of the fallen angel some might think of the biblical term that is often used to describe a fallen angel. A fallen angel is described as an angel who has sinned or an angel who has been cast down to the Earth from the War in Heaven.  However Banksy purposely created the piece to represent the falling of someone or something prominent in society
Personally this is one of my favourite pieces of art work created by Banksy, this is because I like the meaning behind the fallen angel and the way he has used it to show that anyone or anything can fall from grace at any time.

Gary Hume's

Gary Hume’s work highlights parts of the human body and by doing this he has shown new forms and shapes, it also looks like a puzzle. The colours he has chosen also compliment each other, this shows balance. But the shades resemble summer and spring, which creates a warm feeling, this could make the audience feel comfortable. The portraits are also well balanced which shows he has perfect control when creating portraits.

Personally theses are my favorite works off Hume’s because the parts on the body that stand out inspires me for my graphics and fine art projects which I am exploring pattern in both of them.

Introduction To Illustration

Illustration is one of the first thoughts that usually come to mind when mentioning art, like the portraits of people and any life drawing, which can easily be described as both fine art and illustration. The subject illustration covers an extensive range since it has everything to do with sketching and idea making. A good example of where illustration gets used is the concept art that went into making an animated movie. They range from expressions to the portrayal of anatomy. These steps are vital as they cover what the core of this subject is all about.

The composition of the illustration is what matters most for any finalised piece created. As stylising is heavily involved in for whole process and it gives the piece a more engaging and creative appearance.
